Absentee Ballots and Early Voting

Absentee Ballot
You can vote by absentee ballot if you are unable to vote in person on Election Day because you are:

– away from home
– ill or disabled
– an election judge serving in a precinct other than your own
– unable to go to the polling place due to a religious observance or belief.

Absentee Ballot Request Form 
Use this form to request an absentee ballot.  Send completed forms to your county office by fax or mail.  County contact information is available on the form or online through the Secretary of State's website.

Important: Your absentee ballot must be received in your precinct before the polls close on Election Day.  You should request your ballot early to help ensure that your vote is counted.

Early Voting You may also vote up to 30 days prior to Election Day at your county auditor or city or township clerk's office.  Contact your county auditor for details.  (Click here for county contact information)
