Voter Registration – prior to Election Day
You can register to vote before Election Day by filling out a voter registration card and returning it by mail or in person to your county auditor or the Secretary of State.

Voter Registration – on Election Day
You can register on Election Day at your polling location. In order to register on Election Day, you must present some form of identification in order to verify your residence. Accepted forms of identification can include: Minnesota driver's license, learner's permit, ID Card, U.S. passport, U.S. military photo ID card.
