TRACK YOUR FOOD WASTE: HELP YOUR BOTTOM LINE AND THE ENVIRONMENT
Attention restaurants, grocery stores, any food service: Do you stay awake at night worrying about the food you waste and its impact on your bottom line? Minnesota Waste Wise is here to help.
You’re the perfect candidate for a one-year pilot project using the LeanPath food waste prevention program, a system that measures and puts a dollar value on all food that is thrown out for any reason.
LeanPath is easy to use. Before you dispose of any food, you answer a few easy questions on a tablet using the LeanPath proprietary software customized for your specific business. The program calculates a dollar value for the discarded food item. The program also tracks which employees are entering their data so you can reward those doing the best job. The more complete your reports, the more accurate picture you’ll have of your food waste.
LeanPath allows you to run reports that identify which foods are being discarded the most and the amount of money being thrown away each day. You will also be able to set up alerts to notify you if anything is thrown out over a certain dollar value at one time. The data is intended to lead to better purchasing and food prep quantities. It’s a win-win with rewards both for your bottom line and the environment.
We’re looking for candidates to participate in our pilot project. If you’re interested, contact Rob Friend at (651)292-3915 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
