More than 70 alumni representing all 16 years of Leadership Minnesota reconnected April 27 in Monticello and St. Cloud. Dynamic discussions and inside tours focused on the stories behind some of Minnesota’s family-owned and home-grown companies – the different growth strategies taken, their challenges, opportunities and plans. Companies featured included UMC, Inc., Coborn’s, Granite Equity Partners, Microbiologics and Bernick’s.
Congratulations to these business leaders selected to participate in Leaders Lab. This program is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to engage Minnesota’s developing business leaders. It will enhance personal and professional growth while providing participants insight into the public policy process. It kicked off in April at Grand Rapids with an overview of the state’s economy and tours of Cliffs Natural Resources – Hibbing and UPM-Blandin Paper. Click here for photo gallery.
Special thanks to program sponsors Gardner Builders and Werner Electric.

What makes a good business leader?
