KEY INITIATIVES INCLUDE:

We oppose the proposed constitutional amendment on the November 2008 ballot that will raise the state's sales tax rate by three-eighths cent to increase funding for the state's natural and cultural resources. There are better alternatives for funding the Clean Water Legacy Act. Furthermore, the proposal is poor budget policy and a significant tax increase.
