Digital commerce is essential to the ability of employers to compete in the changing and growing global economy. However, parts of Minnesota still lack fast, reliable Internet. The Legislature’s efforts to improve telecommunication should be based on realistic, cost-effective and technology-neutral metrics. The Legislature should allow federal policymakers to set the appropriate regulatory structure to ensure an open Internet.
- Continue to improve Internet service across state.
- Support careful, consistent and comprehensive federal approach to Internet regulation.
- Recognize that Minnesotans already have Internet privacy protections.
