Be sure to vote in the Coolest Thing Made in Minnesota contest!
By Doug Loon
President and CEO
Minnesota Chamber of Commerce
This week, I want to share more about the Coolest Thing Made in Minnesota contest, brought to you by the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce and BMO. The voting portion of the contest kicked off this past Tuesday and we had 20,000 votes in the first 24 hours! We have 32 head-to-head matchups featuring 64 amazing products made right here in Minnesota. If you go to our website, CoolestThingMN.com or the Minnesota Chamber's main page, you can find the link to vote. You can also see the 64 products that are competing to be named the Coolest Thing Made in Minnesota.
Some products include Nova-Tech Engineering’s ShrimpWorks, which is up against the Bedford twist tie. Or how about the Stratasys F3300 Industrial FDM® Printer vs. Elite Industries’ 30 ft. Fork Barge. You have just two more days to vote in this round of 64 products going head-to-head in this bracket style system. Voting for round one will close on Sunday, September 8, and re-open for round 2 on Monday, September 9 at noon.
Brackets will open on each Monday in September, as we narrow it down to just a few finalists to be announced the winner at the 2024 Manufacturers' Summit on October 8.
You're probably wondering: Why is the Minnesota Chamber launching this contest?
Well, because businesses create cool stuff in Minnesota, and we don't get to hear about it often enough, so we're bringing it to you through this program. You may or may not know, but the Minnesota Chamber is the statewide trade association for manufacturers and innovators who bring products to the market. We're very proud of our innovative spirit here in Minnesota, and we're proud of our manufacturers. The Chamber has been representing them at the Capitol for over 30 years. We love the innovation and ingenuity of Minnesota’s manufacturers and work with them every day. They provide meaningful contributions to our economy and satisfying careers to hundreds of thousands of Minnesotans.
I urge you to participate and make your voice heard!
The public gets to vote to decide the winner of this contest. You do not need to be a member of the Chamber. All you need to do is go to CoolestThingMN.com and vote once a day for your favorite product or products. Take advantage of this opportunity to celebrate innovators and manufacturers through the Coolest Thing Made in Minnesota contest going on right now.
