What do employers need to know about the Wage Theft Prevention Act?

WEBINAR: How to comply with the new "wage theft" law as of July 1

A new state law passed the 2019 Legislature addressing what is commonly referred to as “wage theft”: shortchanging employee paychecks. The Minnesota Chamber worked hard to pass compromise legislation that will help protect employers who unintentionally shortchange paychecks and increases penalties for employers who intentionally do so.

The new law’s increased notice and record-keeping requirements go into effect July 1, 2019. Criminal sanctions take effect Aug. 1, 2019. We want to arm you with all of the details to comply with this law.
