VISION 2030
The Minnesota Chamber Foundation will conduct a study of Minnesota’s economy to examine two major questions: First, how is Minnesota’s economy positioned to change and grow over the next decade, based on its regions and industries? Second, how can we maximize opportunities to advance Minnesota’s economy in the coming decade? The study, Vision 2030, will provide Minnesota with a common roadmap for guiding business, policymakers and other thought leaders to help our state’s economy to change and grow.
THE CENTER FOR WORKFORCE SOLUTIONS
The Center for Workforce Solutions is the first-of-its-kind in Minnesota, a business-led initiative to ensure employers and employees possess the necessary tools for jobs of the future. Through leadership, collaboration and key partnerships, it offers programs to confront the state’s worker shortage, helping the state’s economy to change and grow.
  • Business Education Networks (BEN) seek to narrow the skills gap by helping students understand the career opportunities and complete necessary degree and certificate programs, thus helping employers find highly-skilled workers. BEN partnerships are led by local chambers of commerce.
  • MN Job Match is a job-to-candidate matching platform that helps employers find the right fit in qualified candidates.
  • RealTime Talent (RTT) brings together education, workforce, economic development and private-sector leaders to understand and address Minnesota’s increasing talent shortage. RTT provides real-time labor market data to inform and affect market-oriented decisions made by business and education leaders.
  • Hiring Minnesota’s Heroes works one-on-one with employers to develop and implement veterans hiring programs.
  • Workforce-related events and forums bring together community and business leaders facing these challenges and offer solutions to ensure long-term economic success.
LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS
For almost 20 years, Leadership Minnesota has provided unprecedented access to Minnesota’s key industries around the state, and their leaders for hundreds of program participants. Leaders Lab, launched in 2015, allows emerging leaders of members businesses to develop their professional networks, and also experience the businesses that are the backbone of Minnesota’s economy.
