Friday Five: Four finalists remain in the Coolest Thing Made in Minnesota contest

By Doug Loon
President and CEO
Minnesota Chamber of Commerce

We are down to the final four in this year’s Coolest Thing Made in Minnesota contest, and the winner will be announced live at the Manufacturers Summit on Tuesday next week.

Public voting stays open until 11 a.m. Tuesday, so there’s still time to get online and vote for your favorite at coolestthingmn.com.

We’ve got four really unique Minnesota made products in the finals: the Track Chair from ATZ Manufacturing in Marshall, the Bair Hugger Warming System from Solventum, the Fire Boss Aerial Firefighting System from Wipaire, based in South St. Paul, and the Vistabule Teardrop Trailer from St. Paul.

We’ve got medical technology, outdoor mobility, aerial firefighting and recreational products all represented, which really shows the range of manufacturing we have here in Minnesota.

It’s been fun to watch this contest unfold because it really shines a light on the people and companies making things right here in our state.

We started with 64 products from across the state, and now, after thousands of votes have been cast, we’re down to four products still standing.

So make sure you get your vote in before 11 a.m. Tuesday, and then join us at the Manufacturers Summit as we announce the winner.

We want to celebrate that success while also paying attention to what these businesses need to continue to grow and stay in Minnesota.

There’s a lot happening on Tuesday next week. Voting closes at 11 a.m. We’ll announce the winner of the Coolest Thing Made in Minnesota contest at the Manufacturers Summit, and we’re bringing together manufacturers from across the state to celebrate manufacturing here in Minnesota.
