Biography Details

Kristyn works with the BizRecycling program which helps businesses in Ramsey and Washington County access grant funding to reduce their waste.

Prior to joining the Waste Wise team in June of 2023, Kristyn received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Minnesota in Environmental Sciences, Policy, and Management (B.S) and Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy (M.S). Every summer, she completed temporary work for various environmental organizations, including Rainbow Tree Care, The University of Minnesota Recycling Center, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, and the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board. Kristyn has a particular fascination with waste management, climate change policy, Indigenous natural resource management, environmental justice, and ocean conservation.

In her free time, Kristyn enjoys hiking, thrifting, reading and exploring the Twin Cities!
