She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from the College of St. Benedict and a Master of Development Practice from the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School of Public Affairs. Her Peace Corps service in northern Ghana sparked a passion for international collaboration, which she carried into her role as Sustainability Coordinator at the Global Shea Alliance—a multi-stakeholder industry association—where she oversaw programming across six West African countries.
For the past seven years, Sydney has held various positions at Land O’Lakes Venture37, supporting and leading multimillion-dollar development programs funded by donors including USDA Food for Progress, USAID, the Gates Foundation, and AgResults.
