Grow Minnesota! conducted in-depth conversations with nearly 300 businesses in 2020, to learn what challenges and opportunities they were facing in light of the immense changes brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Over the last five years, there is no topic that Minnesota employers have discussed more than workforce. Many struggled to find enough workers, with the right skills, in the right location, who can fulfill their business needs.

Our state and nation watched historic and tragic events unfold in Washington, D.C. last week. We discussed these events with Governor Tim Walz at our Session Priorities event, and I wanted to share the Chamber’s position on a continued pathway to a new administration.

Our advocacy on behalf of employers, their employees and communities helps keep and expand business and jobs in Minnesota. We look forward to working with lawmakers to enact policies that will help the business community recover from the COVID-19 recession and flourish in the long-term.
